Setting up a PPtP server behind a Linksys Router
Oddly, it actually seems to work. I think the Linksys has special rules for "port 47" (doesn't seem to be an assigned port for anything) such that it actually interprets it as "protocol 47" (GRE, which PPtP uses), and forwards it to the PPtP server.
"some tools don't work well on XP clients, like the RAS dial-in tab is missing"
I was going nuts trying to figure out how to allow my user to dial-in via PPTP. Turns out that you just don't get that tab in XP. I had to go to the Domain Controller to do it.
Corkscrew is a tool for tunneling SSH through HTTP proxies
PuTTY is a free SSH client developed by Simon Tatham and others. Note: I did have to call Tmobile and get them to (1) activate "Tmobile Unlimited Internet VPN" (I already was paying for Tmobile Unlimited Internet, so no additional charge, and (2) give me the info for a different access point (i.e. not the t-zones wap access point). Boom, I'm ssh-ing to my computer...

Turns out that we had inaccessible ldap:// and http:// locations for the CRL that we were using on our CA. Thus, IE would take forever to time out before it finally asked you if you wanted to trust the cert.

We had this exact situation. I couldn't figure out why the replacement Exchange server would accept mail just fine, and yet not be able to send any.
Apparently, you can't have an address policy that is @FQDN of the exchange server where their mailbox is.
