Apparently, it may actually run better with 1 Gig of RAM than it does with 3 Gigs, due to allocation issues. This originally came up because I was getting Event ID 9582.

txtsetup.oem

I just added the 3ware drivers to my unattended windows install setup.

I had to tweak the txtsetup.oem file to be different from the one that was in the zip from 3ware.

There was only one line different between the two. In my setup, this is the line I used:

d1 = "3ware Escalade 7000/8000 Series ATA RAID Controller for Windows 2000/XP/2003", \disk1, ""

The original was this one:

Increase the PTY count on FreeBSD

I looked for this a while ago, but couldn't find it right away. For some reason, it was easier this time. I wanted to up the number of ptys availlable on a FreeBSD system.

Turns out, all you need to do is:
/dev/MAKEDEV pty1
and you get another set. (use pty2 for the next, pty3, pty4, and so on)
