PuTTY is a free SSH client developed by Simon Tatham and others. This page contains a port to the Symbian OS, with support for Series 60 (Nokia 3650, 6600, and N-Gage) and Nokia 9200 Communicator series (Nokia 9210, 9210i, and 9290). The current version contains SSH protocol support, terminal emulation, and a basic user interface.
Note: I did have to call Tmobile and get them to (1) activate "Tmobile Unlimited Internet VPN" (I already was paying for Tmobile Unlimited Internet, so no additional charge, and (2) give me the info for a different access point (i.e. not the t-zones wap access point). Boom, I'm ssh-ing to my computer...
Posted by jshare at December 30, 2003 10:59 PMThanks for the info! I added unlimited internet/VPN to my Tmobile account and I am now using puTTY to SSH to work and grab my exchange email cia Pine....all through my 3650!
Posted by: Bob Gilbert at January 2, 2004 02:59 PMCould you tell me what your access point settings are? I'm pretty sure I'm already setup for the Unlimited VPN. Thanks.
