I'm running it now, so we'll see if it works.
I copied (after ungzipping) the file to:
/lib/modules/2.4.18-rmk7-pxa3-embedix/kernel/drivers/block
Then I added this line to my /etc/modules.conf:
alias sharp_mmcsd_m mmcsd
