Hydrogenaudio Forums -> mp3/id3v1 problem in foobar 0.7
It turned out to be because MP3Gain was writing an APE tag (containing undo info) to the file. Foobar2000 would then see the tag, and decide to only use APE tag, and ignore the ID3 tag.

Posted by: sak64 at May 12, 2004 09:52 AMThe solution is to not enable "undo" on mp3gain. That is, configure it to "leave tags alone" or something like that.
On the existing ones, you can have it process them and strip the tags out.
