Dear Bart,

sorry when I bother you with my silly questions. I already wrote you an eMail via normal way and I think this was the wrong one. No I try this one.

I use Linux SuSE 8.2 on my laptop with VMware 3.2. Within VMware I run Windows XP, Windows NT SP6.0a and also like to run DOS 6.22 (or DOS 5.00, I have both originals).

Your description to create a bootable CD-ROM worked wonderful (congratulations by the way).

After a little trouble at the beginning when I was trying 'fdisk' and 'format c:' (message: wrong DOS Version), I found out that I only have to change from drive R:\ to drive Q:\. This way worked.

Now I wanted to install DOS. Again: wrong DOS Version. It was booting displaying the different possibilities to upload 'emm386' with 'Windows 98' on the top. The next I found out, that you described in one of your files that you need certain files out of Windows 98 in path \bcd\os to create the CD and it could be changed to lower versions of DOS by replacing them. This is what I tried next.

I created some CDs by different replacements of that files. All versions without success.

No I am at a loss. So I am asking you if you could help me? I would highly appreciate it, because I don't want to give up that marvellous way.

Best regards,
Joerg
