As a former employer of X10 wireless technology, I can honestly say the company is way more concerned on spending money on spamming and annoying advertising than on product development or customer satisfation. I worked in the X10 tech support center and was appaled by the low level of customer service standards, and quite for ethical reasons (I hated the way the company lied to consumers and to its employees). They recently held a giant Ipod sale. They never had or are planning on shipping out any of these units, it was all a nifty marketing ploy to gather Email addresses for a new marketing campaign coming up soon. The whole Ipod sell was a scam to acuire email addresses, just check with anyone who has ordered any of these units. Amazingly, everyone who ordered one got put 'on back order' for an undetermined amount of time, even tho the company had its reps tell everyone they would ship Wednesday, June 2nd. Here is some contact info for the head of marketing, and the man behind these great marketing scams from X10 Wireless Technology. spread the word so people can complain directly to the man himself...
